MOBU CAFÉ BRANDING
Mobu Café is a Japanese-style coffee shop and restaurant located in a cozy neighborhood in Taichung, Taiwan. To match the relaxed, local feel of the space, I built the visual identity around simple, fun line illustrations that tell the brand’s story in a light, approachable way.
The brand’s name and logo are full of personal touches. "Mo" and "Bu" represent the Japanese sound effects for cows and pigs, with the M styled as a cow’s hoof and the O as a pig’s nose. To complete the look, I illustrated the owners’ kid as a soft, mochi-faced character, tying the whole family-owned story together.
